GPS Insight Year in Review: Awards, Acquisitions, and Awesome Updates
A year ago, GPS Insight announced the acquisition of FieldAware, a game-changing partnership creating a comprehensive, market-leading fleet management, field services, and telematics software platform to better serve the industry. We’ve used that union as a springboard to provide fleet and field service companies with the most innovative and effective solutions in the market and as the catalyst for a truly memorable year.
As 2022 draws to a close, it is time to pause and take stock of the actions and accomplishments of the last year. The blog wants to highlight the thrills and chills of 2022, with a look back at some key issues and moments of the year, through a good old-fashioned clip show!
New Additions and Upgrades
We strengthened our fleet+field offerings with the acquisition of Certified Tracking Solutions, an industry leader in GPS telematics, fleet tracking and management, connected transportation, and industrial IoT. The partnership helps us provide better custom forms solutions to field operations and highway maintenance, and winter operations tools that boost government fleet capabilities.
Importantly, the acquisition allows us to offer customers Titan GPS, a state-of-the-art fleet management system that is one of the best in the business. Adding it to the GPS Insight family expands our reach more extensively into Canada and adds a new suite of tools, including a crucial new ELD solution already certified in advance of the Canadian ELD mandate, specialty tracking, and management solutions, and Bluetooth asset tracking for high-value tools. The combined strength of GPS Insight and Certified Tracking Solutions provides fleet and field service operations exactly what they need to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and provide the data critical to their customer’s success.
We added new fleet+field solutions, upgrading our integrated Field Service Management (FSM) suite, marking significant strides toward the empowerment of both fleet and field service companies to manage their mobile assets and mobile workforces together seamlessly. The enhanced FSM suite is tailored to integrate with GPS Insight fleet management, empowering business leaders to ensure alignment among workers across both fleet and field.
One of the most important initiatives in 2022 was the creation of the best field service management software guide in the industry. We literally wrote the book to clarify and simplify the shift toward digitization to ensure all field service organizations – from the largest to the smallest, to the tech-savvy or tech-adverse – understand how to leverage FSM software and maximize your operation. No buzzwords or jargon, just facts to help you determine exactly what you need to grow your business.
Awards and Achievements
We also continued our run of major awards in 2022. In April, GPS Insight was recognized as the Top IoT Vehicle Telematics Company in the industry by Compass Intelligence. In a fast-moving industry, GPS Insight technology makes it simpler and safer for organizations to operate—on the road and in the field. GPS Insight was also recognized as a Top Construction Technology Firm ™ in a special report by Construction Executive magazine for our solutions for the construction industry and for our work to promote sustainability and further environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives in the fleet industry.
To address the growing talent gap in fleet and field, GPS Insight launched the ‘You are the Reason’ Skilled Trades Scholarship Program. The scholarship will help advance skilled trades within our industries, increase community involvement, and promote goodwill among customers. The new program will award two scholarships for $10,000 each to students planning to pursue full-time skilled trades study at a college or accredited vocational-technical school in the 2023-2024 academic year.
To better inform our customers of the ins and outs of the fleet and field industries, we introduced Fleet + Field, a monthly newsletter designed to educate, inform, and inspire fleet management and field service professionals.
Good Times All Around
We also had some fun this year, introducing customers to some strange, groovy musical highways across the U.S. and around the world, as well as harrowing tales of woe and terror on the road in our special Halloween blog!
We unveiled our Show Us Your Pets contest. The GPS Insight team loved reading what you shared about how your pets provide emotional support, enjoy dressing up and going for car rides, and bring joy in so many ways.
