Skilled Trades Scholarship

GPS Insight wants to give back to our customers and advance skilled trades in our industry. As a result, the GPS Insight Skilled Trades Scholarship program is awarding two scholarships for $10,000 each to students nominated by current GPS Insight customers. These scholarships are for students or graduates who are planning to pursue full-time study at a college or accredited vocational/technical school in the 2023-2024 academic year.

TO NOMINATE A STUDENT:

You must be an active customer of GPS Insight. Please share this page and form with your candidate to complete. Candidates will also need to share your name, title, and contact information, so please make sure they have this information.

Please note that if your student wins a scholarship, we will ask for you to complete an interview to share with us why this candidate is deserving of an award.

TO APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP:

Complete the submission form on the right by December 31, 2022. To qualify, you must be a high school senior, graduate, or undergraduate with a minimum 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent), and plan to pursue a degree/certificate in fleet or field service trade fields such as:

Construction

Construction

Solar Field

Motor/Power/Solar Sectors

Plumbing

MEP (Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing)

Welding

Ironworks/Welding

Auto Repair

Trucking/Automotive Repair/EV Service/Alternative Fuels

FOR SCHOLARSHIP AWARD WINNERS:

  • Winners will be notified on January 15, 2023.
  • Each award will be issued and made payable to the student’s name when GPS Insight receives an acceptance letter from an accredited skilled trades training/education program stating the student is approved to enroll.
  • Acceptance letters should be sent to: scholarships@gpsinsight.com.
  • Funds may be used for tuition, tools, living expenses, etc.
  • Deadline to submit acceptance letter is August 31, 2023.
  • Any winner who is unable to produce an acceptance letter by August 31, 2023 forfeits his/her scholarship award.
