Volunteering at Feed My Starving Children in Mesa, AZ

GPS Insight Volunteers at Feed My Starving Children

Recently, a group of GPS Insight employees and some of their spouses volunteered at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) at their location in Mesa, Arizona. Founded in 1987, FMSC is a Christian non-profit that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically formulated for malnourished children.

On the day of our visit, we packaged food that would be sent to Thailand. The food packs consisted of a mixture of vitamins, veggies, soy, and rice. Volunteers were split into groups, warehouse, labelers (or as they put it, “those who like to play with stickers”), and food packers.

The combination of our group and a few other groups that volunteered that day, we packaged 121 boxes each filled with 36 packs of food which is enough food to feed 71 children for an entire year!

Giving back is such a wonderful feeling and we were all are glad to volunteer our time to such a great organization. We also had a lot of fun! If you are interested in volunteering at FMSC for a few hours check out their website. www.fmsc.org
