AZ Business Magazine, an AZ Big Media publication, hosts the Most Admired Companies (MAC) awards once a year. Companies who receive this honor are leaders in the following categories:
- Workplace culture
- Leadership
- Social responsibility
- Innovation
- Customer opinion
AZ Business Magazine has partnered with BestCompaniesAZ for eight years to give out this award and host the event. “We built the program to recognize those companies that have the biggest impact on the economy, on their employees, and on the communities in which they do business. Arizona is filled with great servant leaders, innovators, and forward-thinkers. This year’s MAC recipients embody those qualities,” said Cheryl Green, publisher of AZ Big Media.
GPS Insight received this award for two main reasons – the #GPSILife culture, and the annual charitable fundraising work they do with their customers.
The #GPSILife
#GPSILife started to help foster the internal culture at GPS Insight. The volunteer leadership team within #GPSILife organizes social events, company parties, as well as philanthropy in the Phoenix area. They help with orientation of new employees, and also special programs like Wellness Month in which yoga classes are taught, seminars on mindfulness, and much more.
GPS Insight Philanthropy
GPS Insight philanthropy is done throughout the year (as mentioned above and organized by #GPSILife), but it becomes even more of a focus during the holidays. GPS Insight works with customers and employees to raise money for charity, asking them to suggest the charities they care about and donating money to those organizations. This has yielded a three-year approximated $600,000 in charitable donations.
GPS Insight is both humbled and honored to be recognized as one of Arizona’s most admired companies of 2018.
