GPS Tracking System: Reduce Fuel Costs
Is your fleet wasting fuel due to excessive speeding and idling, or other inefficient driving behaviors?
The GPS Insight Fleet Tracking Solution will give you insight into your fleet's activity and deliver significant fuel savings. These savings are realized in a variety of ways:
Limit Speeding and Idling:
Speeding wastes fuel. GPS tracking reports, alerts, and speed maps show you who is speeding and where. Alerts can be sent instantly to the drivers themselves letting them know to slow down.
Idling is an unnecessary waste of fuel and by reducing the number of minutes drivers idle, you can cut down on the cost of your fuel expenses. GPS Insight uniquely provides the ability to send drivers instant alerts telling them to shut down their vehicles if they idle for too long. Some customers save 5 or more times the amount that the system costs by utilizing this capability.
You will be able to determine when vehicles are used for non-company-related business, or prove compliance using odd-hours/weekend GPS tracking reports and alerts. These capabilities can be custom fit to meet your businesses normal hours or operating practices.
GPS Insight easily allows you to determine wasteful trips after the fact, and our routing capabilities can be used to proactively assign the best route to a vehicle or vehicles. Our highly intuitive reports can automatically measure the best route against what route your driver took and then show in detail how long the route should have taken. This can capture evidence of drivers padding hours by driving too slow or catch drivers who are inefficient and have to speed to make up their time.
Fuel Card Reporting:
GPS Insight and Wright Express customers can generate Fuel Card Reports on all fuel card transactions, and more importantly, see flagged activity where a specified vehicle was not present for the associated purchase transaction. Fuel Card Reporting also allows for the calculation of MPG data and the easy identification of non-fuel purchases. Monitoring this type of data can lead to identifying fuel card fraud.
Let’s face it, the cost of fuel isn’t something fleets can hide from any longer. We all know it’s going to continue to rise and there’s nothing we can do about it. What you CAN do, however, is be proactive in keeping your fuel costs down...
